Join us as we team up with the BC Lung Foundation to bring you the Better Breathers’ Club of BC!
At the monthly Better Breathers Club of BC meetings, you’ll speak with Certified Respiratory Educators, Respiratory Therapists, and other healthcare professionals who are dedicated to helping those living with chronic lung conditions and supporting their family and care givers.
This month, we have guest speaker Cindy Campbell joining us to lead a conversation about Energy Conservation and Mental Health. Cindy is an Occupational Therapist and offers her expertise to help us manage our daily energy levels and to cope with the mental health aspects of living with a chronic lung condition.
Cindy earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2008. Drawn early to community practice, she is dedicated to helping clients optimize function and quality of life. Her experience spans rehabilitation, mental health, chronic disease self-management, and primary care, with a particular focus on long COVID, ME/CFS, chronic pain, and concurrent mental health conditions.
She values collaborative, client-centered care and creates individualized treatment plans that empower clients to pursue meaningful goals. Alongside practice, Cindy contributes to the development of future OTs as a sessional instructor. She is committed to professional growth and holds certifications as a Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) and Certified Tobacco Educator (CTE), with additional training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Safe and Sound Protocol™.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys family time, summers at Grand Beach kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, and bonfires, and winters traveling and cheering on her children in hockey and volleyball. She is an active member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), and College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
Cindy is opening a clinic in early 2026. Have a look! https://www.suiteeleven.ca/
Join us each month to connect with others living with chronic lung conditions in British Columbia. Each meeting has a different topic, is hosted by Respiratory Therapists, and has time for connection and questions. We often bring in expert guest speakers to bring the most up-to-date information and advice to help you manage your breathing condition. Everyone is welcome.
Bring your questions, your perspectives, and your experiences to share!
